Fan Controlled Football Expands Celebrity Owner Base

Fan Controlled Football has added more former football players to its celebrity-studded ownership group.

The league that allows fans to call plays revealed on Tuesday Round and Tiki Barber are among the owners of Knights of Degen along with other names like actor Jerry Ferrara and NFL Network’s Cynthia Frelund.

The Gutter Cat Gang owner group includes former Atlanta Falcons RB Jamal Anderson.

Among the owners in its inaugural season were MArshawn Lynch, Richard Sherman, Austin Ekeler, and Dalvin Cook.

The league also announced that it has completed an investment round that will bring $ 40 million to its coffers.

“FCF makes them money, guarantees them $ 40 million, we’re ready for seasons 2, 3 and a few months,” Beasts co-owner Lynch said in a statement. “And a big thank you to the people of Bored Ape Yacht Club and Gutter Cat Gang for joining forces with our FCF family.

In total, the league will drop from four to eight teams for its 2022 season.

The new owners and teams:

  • The alley cat gang community team led by Black KingBored, Dr Dicatrio, Vivek Ravishanker, SpottieWiFi, and former NFL legend Jamal Anderson.
  • The Yacht Club Bored Ape community with team ownership featuring TropoFarmer, Josh Ong, Jerseyborn, Franklin, Lindsey Byrnes, Ben jammin, NFTAnonym, Jeff nicolas, and Spr3adsh33t.
  • Knights of Degen led by their founders and community members, which include NFL legends Tiki and Round barber, Jerry ferrara, Cynthia frelund the NFL network, Jasmine maietta from Tour21, Drew austin, and more.
  • 8OKI team, led by two highly recognized blockchain advocates – a famous musician and producer Steve Aoki, and 888, the founder of 888 inner circle and a leader in the crypto and NFT space.

Aoki is an American DJ, record producer, music programmer, record director, and heir to his father Rocky Aoki’s fortune from the Benihana restaurant franchise. He has over 8 million followers on Twitter.
