FRANKLIN – The Franklin Farmers’ Market will welcome Jason Starr to the Music at the Market stage from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 10. It last performed on September 19.

The music at the market started its run on July 4 and will end with Sunday’s performance.

According to the presenters, Starr is a guitarist and singer who has performed in the area since moving to Franklin with his wife and daughter in 2010. He has performed at venues such as the B-Side Ballroom, the Walton Theater, the Castle on the Delaware. , Oneonta, Otego, Cooperstown and Franklin Farmers’ Markets, and the Franklin Holiday Market. Playing solo and with groups of various formations, he plays in the genres Bluegrass, Blues, Americana, The Great American Songbook, Motown … which he all places under the great umbrella of folk music. He is also a teaching artist in the Partnership Program for Creating Rural Opportunities in Local Schools.

The show is free. Tables and chairs will be available and guests are welcome to bring their own seats.

The market is open from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Institute Street and features a variety of vendors from Franklin and surrounding towns.
